First of all, who is Coco Chanel?
Everyone knows the brand Chanel but they don't know who she is or her life, so I thought I'd write about her life as well, as she was very valuable in general culture and home design and decoration.

Gabrielle was born in Samour, southern France, in 1883. She was the daughter of a poor family. She was the child of a traveling merchant father and mother with 6 children, including herself. After her birth, her birth certificate was recorded as Chasnel by officials who could not spell her name. Because of this mistake, when Gabriel became famous, biographers had a hard time reaching her past.

When she lost her mother to tuberculosis, Chanel was 12 years old. When her father left home to earn money and support the family, Chanel moved to an orphanage. This is where she first learned to sew. She visited close family friends and relatives during holidays and vacations. When she turned 18, Chanel left the orphanage and found work at a local tailor.
She worked as a singer, albeit for a short time, between 1905 and 1908. She took the nickname “Coco” from the name Coco in the song she sang to her sister during this period.

He opened his first shop in 1910. However, it did not take long for this shop, which only sold hats, jackets and raincoats, to go bankrupt.
