Four-poster beds in classic and modern interiors

Is a four-poster bed suitable for a bedroom?

In this regard, the style of the interior does not play a decisive role. Whether for a setting in the spirit of bygone eras or for a dynamic and modern interior, it is not difficult to find the right four-poster bed from factories in Italy, France or Belgium. Sufficient ceiling height is much more important.

The height of the canopy bed usually varies between 220 and 250 cm, adding a margin to this value so that the bed does not visually rest against the ceiling, we obtain the desired ceiling height for installing a canopy bed of at least 300 cm.

Ready-made canopy beds

Choosing a ready-made solution is the easiest way to make your canopy dreams come true. The modern range offers both luxurious solutions in a historical style and interesting design interpretations.

Classic

A French bed – this is what is usually imagined when the expression “four-poster bed” is heard. In the classic version, it is a large double bed with a “frame” in the upper part. Textiles can be fixed on it in different ways – loosely covered or rigidly fixed and covered.

Classic four-poster beds differ little from historical models both in shape and material. An elegant silhouette, natural wood decorated with carvings and gilding, expensive silk, satin and tapestry fabrics embroidered with precious metals and stones – these features of luxury furniture remain relevant today.

In some classic models, there is only a hint of a canopy – high stands at the corners of the bed. These decorative elements give the bed an antique touch.

Modern four poster bed

If you are the owner of a bedroom in a modern style, do not rush to give up the four-poster bed. In a modern interpretation, this piece of furniture looks very interesting.

A four-poster bed is a great buy for your terrace. Most luxury garden furniture manufacturers offer models in teak or faux rattan, finished with rain- and sun-resistant textiles.

Modular solutions

Almost any classic or modern bed can be completed with a separately installed canopy. This can be a custom-made solution or a removable canopy.

A canopy in the form of a semicircle, mounted on the wall above the bed, will suit even a modest bedroom.
