Furniture with historical shapes

Medallion chair

The Medallion chair is perhaps the most copied piece of classical furniture. Created during the reign of Louis XVI, the oval-backed chair is now available both in its original form and in a modern interpretation.

Among the design versions of the medallion chair it is worth highlighting the famous one. Cartel Ghost by Philippe Starck sold thousands of copies worldwide.

Chair throne

Today, not only a representative of the royal dynasty, but also any fan of original furniture can sit on the throne. The very high, low-legged armchair with a straight back is available both in a historical look and in a modern redesigned version.

The modern throne chair, like its historical ancestor, only allows sitting with a straight back and is therefore not very ergonomic. On the contrary, it is an eye-catching accessory that speaks of the tastes of its owner.

Voltaire chair

The Voltaire armchair or “eared armchair” appeared in England in the 17th century and quickly became popular throughout Europe, and then in Russia. In those days, the characteristic shape of the curved-edged back was a real salvation from drafts. Today, of course, its role is purely decorative.

The Voltaire armchair, both in traditional form and in a modern interpretation, will give the interior an air of aristocracy.

Berger

A deep wide chair with a reclining back was created especially for ladies in lush dresses – they simply did not fit into narrow armchairs. Traditionally, a wingback chair has sturdy armrests attached to the back, a comfortable wide seat and elegant low legs.

Divan-pate

At the time of secular balls, an armchair-pate (from the French pâté – “cake”), which served as a center of attraction for guests, was an obligatory piece of furniture.

The classic shape of a patent sofa is a round seat with a central back. The backrest divides the sofa into sections – four of us can sit on it, with our backs facing each other.

The modern version of the patio can be found in shoe stores, hotel lobbies and waiting areas. Round paté sofas of various shapes are also produced for exclusive interiors in a modern style.

Chesterfield kanepe

“Chesterfield” is one of the most common models of sofas. A classic that is always relevant. Having survived for two centuries, this form has preserved aristocracy and emphasized elegance.

The sofa with curved armrests and capitonne upholstery appeared more than 200 years ago. Today, the “Chesterfield” is produced both in its original form and in revised versions.
