Italian futurism and Japanese naturalism in an apartment for a young girl

Initial data: Apartment with an area of 87 m22 For a 24 year old girl.
Purpose: to build a space that corresponds to the inner world of a young girl whose strong character led the designer to think of Japan.

The aim of the project is to combine the features of Italian futurism and Japanese naturalism in the interior. As a result of the competent selection of materials, tones and textures, the apartment managed to harmoniously combine the naturalness of natural materials and shades with the urban motifs of Italian object design.

We managed to get through the non-standard, complex layout without making any fundamental changes. The apartment simply widened some doors.

The ventilation ducts in the hallway were concealed by a light metal structure along with a Japanese garden and built-in wardrobes.

Kitchen, living room

The living area and kitchen form a single space. The kitchen set runs along the left wall. The dining table is replaced by a counter with high bar stools. The rest of the space is reserved for relaxing.

In the photo: the kitchen-living room is zoned with lighting: a pair of light lamps with textile lampshades, spot lighting of the ceiling and a reading lamp from the Flos factory.

Desiree's contoured armchair and ceramic wall tiles continue the geometric theme throughout the apartment.

Bedroom

Even the bedroom has geometric patterned tiles, softened by a “double” headboard, one half of which is under the ceiling.

cabin

Bright colored spots – a canvas with an abstract painting and a shelf with colorful shelves contribute to the creation of a creative atmosphere in the office.

The word Sognare means “to dream” in Italian.

The ergonomic desk lamp is the famous 365 lamp, produced by Flos since the 70s.

bathroom

Japanese minimalism is most evident in the bathroom, where the walls are covered in porcelain stoneware and all cabinets are hidden away.

Special lighting in the bathroom creates the illusion that the tub is floating in the air.
