Glass furniture: tables and more

Glassware always attracts attention, especially when it comes to large interior items. Clear glass furniture is visually light, sophisticated and always unusual. It lets light into the interior and creates a feeling of spaciousness.

What kind of furniture is made from glass?

Among glass furniture, coffee tables are the most represented. Compact size and low load on such furniture allow designers to freely experiment with the shape and properties of glass.

Dining tables are no less widely represented among glass interior products. As a rule, only the tabletop is glass in them. Legs or base can be wooden, metal or composite.

In rare cases, dining tables can be made entirely of super-strong glass, except for the fittings. Such models are available from the factories Reflex & Angelo, Fiam, Tonin Casa.

Work, computer and even pool tables can also be all glass.

A slightly less popular category than coffee or dining tables are tempered glass serving tables.

Glass furniture is not just a table

Looking through the catalogs of Italian factories, you can find many interesting and unusual glass interior items. In terms of convenience and ergonomics, they are sometimes inferior to furniture made of more traditional materials, but this is fully compensated by a spectacular appearance.

Glass furniture: the subtleties of care

Glass furniture is fragile only in appearance. Tempered glass with a thickness of 15 mm can withstand a load of up to 100 kg. You can sit on a glass chair without fear, and put objects weighing up to 20 kilograms on a glass table.

Glass furniture is not easy to break. If this happens, the risk of injury is minimized. When broken, tempered glass breaks into blunt pieces.

The only drawback of all glass furniture is the need for careful care. In order for the glass to please with a perfect shine, it must be constantly rubbed and traces of contact must be removed. However, modern cleaning products allow you to cope with this in a few minutes.
