8 plants to create a beautiful garden

Creating a beautiful contemporary garden takes time and specific plant varieties planted in beautiful combinations. We share our findings.
In landscape design, as in interior design, there are fashion trends. In recent seasons, “natural” gardens have become popular. They look like you have done absolutely nothing on your site. We have collected several options for filling the beautiful garden in 2025.

Astilbe

A very spectacular, bright and large-scale plant that will be one of the main characters in the garden. Multicolored “inflorescences” form a powerful and at the same time quite light dome near the bush. They are perfect for arranging color accents in a “natural” landscape. There are different varieties of astilba, the largest of which are Chinese, Thunberg and Arends. All of them grow to a meter in height and even higher. The classic astilba inflorescence is conical and extends upwards with a sharp tip, but there are exceptions. For example, the astilbe variety Tuberg called “Straussenfeder” (translated as “ostrich feather”) has a flower with a tip hanging down.

Too much

Another rather bright plant, but smaller. It has large green leaves, collected in a bunch. During flowering, several shoots on long stems with bright pink (sometimes white and red) flowers are drawn from the core. The shape of the inflorescences resembles bells. Badan is a low plant, does not grow more than 40 centimeters. Despite the fact that the flower is summer, it can decorate a flowerbed in autumn, at this time of year the bergenia leaves turn beautifully red.

Brunner

Delicate and delicate flower looks great in a natural landscape. For the similarity of inflorescences, Brunner is also called forget-me-not. The plant grows up to half a meter tall, forming beautiful bushes. Sometimes a brunner blooms not once, but twice a year, managing to throw out flower stalks even in the fall, if it turns out to be warm. The plant takes root well both in the shade and in the sun, it can fill the gaps near trees and hedges.

Buzulnik

Beautiful, bright buzulnik, somewhat reminiscent of astilbe – the same cone-shaped flowers growing from the center of the bush. Buzulnik is more “wild” in appearance, looks as natural as possible and will add a bit of natural negligence to the flowerbed. The flower grows more than a meter and looks very impressive. And this is a great option for decorating areas under trees.

stubborn creep

A small-sized rich blue flower in the garden looks bright and original. It does not rise from the ground (hence the name). A tenacious ground cover plant, during flowering it fills the soil with itself and forms a beautiful coverlet of azure hue (white-flowered variety is less common). After the plant has faded, some varieties continue to decorate the landscape with bright leaves.

A very beautiful plant with a stem that looks like a collection of many bells. Digitalis is usually pink and looks like a real spot of color in nature. A tall (up to a meter) spectacular plant will decorate any landscape, be it a deliberately careless garden or a geometric flowerbed set to centimeters. But be careful, this plant is poisonous. Do not plant in places where there are animals or children.

Tiarella

Tiarella resembles a scattering of stars gathered in one flower. In its form, it resembles both astilba and buzulnik, but the inflorescences, of course, are different. They consist of many mini-flowers, similar to daisies, but with sharper petals. If you want to achieve brightness, plant several petals at once, when they bloom, they will form a beautiful natural flower garden. Alone, the inflorescences of this plant look more neutral and delicate. In autumn, tiarella retains its decorative effect, as its leaves turn into a beautiful bronze shade.

hosta

Hosta blooms inactively, the main attraction of this plant is its leaves. Large hats of various colors (from plain green to variegated with white stripes) leaves will fill the garden with volume. With the help of the host it is convenient to close all the gaps left in the flowerbeds and under the trees. The plant looks very natural and natural, grows luxuriantly even with minimal care.
